Mabatho S
Hi, I’m Mabatho! I’m currently completing a BSc in Civil Engineering and I also work as a facilitator for a Study Skills Crash Course, where I guide students in developing effective study habits and learning techniques. In my matric year, I achieved 4 distinctions, including 81% for Mathematics, 87% for Engineering Graphics and Design, and 80% for Physical Science. With over two years of tutoring experience, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for helping students truly grasp their subjects and grow in confidence.
As a tutor, my aim is not simply to teach, but to help students understand their work better and learn different methods to enhance their skills. I focus on identifying their unique learning styles and offering personalised support that encourages independent thinking and problem-solving. My approach is practical, relatable, and empowering—helping learners to feel comfortable, capable, and ready to take on any academic challenge.
In my spare time, I love expressing myself through the arts—whether that’s singing, dancing, drawing, or DIY projects. I also enjoy sewing and making some of my own garments. I’m passionate about creativity and often explore video editing and production as a way to blend storytelling with visual design. Reading and using platforms like YouTube to expand my knowledge keeps me curious and always learning, which is something I try to inspire in my students too.
