Megan M

Hi, I’m Megan! I have completed a Bachelor of Education and have been teaching in classrooms in South Africa since 2007. My strong academic background is rooted in the CAPS curriculum, under which I achieved highly consistent marks, demonstrating a particular strength and passion for Music.

I have successfully tutored English, Afrikaans First Additional Language, and Maths to many learners, always adapting my methods to suit individual needs.  My deep musical expertise ensures I am fully equipped to handle advanced tutoring up to high school Music. Over nearly two decades of classroom and childcare experience, I have developed a specialised skill set for supporting diverse learners, including those facing barriers to learning such as ADHD and Dyslexia.

My core philosophy is to meet children exactly where they are, taking them back to a point where they feel capable and can cope, before carefully scaffolding and building their knowledge up from there. My goal is to build each student’s confidence, enabling them to recognise their own growth and enjoy the benefits of their hard work.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy embroidery, spending time with animals, reading and gardening, which help me maintain a balanced and creative outlook on life :)

Celeste S

Hi, I’m Celeste! I have completed a Bachelor of Business Administration, and throughout my academic journey I have always valued hard work, organisation, and perseverance. In my matric year, I performed well across my subjects, which strengthened my confidence in problem solving and taught me the importance of being resourceful and structured in everything I do. I enjoy helping others learn and grow, and I believe that every learner has the potential to succeed with the right support and encouragement.

I have experience working as a teaching assistant, where I discovered my passion for working with children and supporting learners in a positive and patient environment. I am kind, approachable, and understanding, and I always strive to create a comfortable space where students feel confident asking questions and expressing themselves. As a tutor, my aim is to clarify topics that learners do not understand while also building confidence in the knowledge and skills they already have. I believe that learning should feel encouraging and empowering, and I love seeing students become more confident in their abilities over time.

Outside of tutoring, I have a strong creative side and enjoy spending my free time exploring different forms of art. I love painting, drawing, mixed media, and journalling, as these activities allow me to express myself creatively and unwind. I also enjoy sewing and learning how to make my own clothes, which has taught me patience, creativity, and attention to detail. My creative interests help me bring a fresh and engaging approach to tutoring, allowing me to connect with learners in a warm, friendly, and supportive way.
