Daniel S

Hi, I’m Daniel! My academic journey has been driven by a deep passion for problem-solving and technology, leading me to complete a BSc Mathematics and Computer Science. Currently, I am further specialising in this dynamic field by completing my BSc (Honours) Computer Science. This strong academic foundation is built on a track record of high achievement; during my matric year, I achieved seven distinctions, scoring 97% in Maths, 96% in EGD, 95% in IT-Delphi, 92% in English, 91% in Physical Science, 90% in Life Orientation, and 82% in Afrikaans.

I have been sharing my knowledge as a tutor since 2023, drawing on a diverse background in mentorship that also includes serving as a rowing coach at a local high school. As a tutor, my aim is not simply to hand students the content they need to memorise, as I strongly dislike rote learning. Instead, I focus on teaching students how to interact with the material, showing them how to effectively learn, absorb information, and ultimately become entirely self-sufficient in their studies.

When I am not academic coaching, I love staying active and exploring creative outlets. My spare time is filled with an eclectic mix of hobbies, including rowing, climbing, hiking, and running. I also enjoy channeling my technical skills into personal projects like coding, game design, and graphics, which I balance with the more traditional and relaxing pursuit of painting.
