Hi, I’m Denise! I’m currently completing a National Diploma in Interior Design, where I get to use my creativity and love for design. In my matric year, I achieved three distinctions, including 82% in English, 81% in Consumer Studies, and 87% in Design. I also achieved strong marks in Afrikaans, Life Orientation, and Engineering & Graphic Design, which helped me build a good foundation for my studies.

I believe that everyone learns in their own way, and learning can be easier when it is explained clearly. As a tutor, I enjoy helping students understand their work step by step. I focus on supporting each student in a way that works best for them, so they can feel confident and comfortable when learning. I enjoy helping students use their strengths and improve where they find things more challenging.

With 17 years of professional experience in interior design, drafting, surveys, and visuals, along with five years of tutoring experience, I bring a practical, real-world perspective to the subjects I teach. I am also well-versed in the IEB curriculum, which allows me to provide targeted guidance that aligns with students’ academic requirements and goals. As a tutor, I see my role as a guide, helping students tackle the areas they find most challenging. It’s often hard for kids to seek extra help in a classroom setting, so I aim to provide that extra bit of clarity and encouragement one-on-one.
