Harriet has completed a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies and Journalism as well as a Postgraduate degree in Education. She matriculated with an A aggregate and achieved stellar academic results. Her strong academic background, combined with her extensive teaching experience, gives her an excellent foundation for helping learners build their understanding, confidence and academic skills across a range of subjects and levels.
Harriet has 15 years of teaching experience and has held various leadership roles, including Head of Well-being. Throughout her teaching career, she has attended numerous conferences and CPD training sessions focused on helping learners overcome barriers to learning. She understands the value of one-on-one support and enjoys giving learners the individual attention they need to understand their strengths and areas for development, revisit challenging concepts and work towards their goals.
Harriet is highly recommended by our team for her friendly, approachable and caring nature. She is well equipped to tutor Maths, English, Art and Visual Art across a range of levels. Her extensive classroom experience allows her to adapt her approach to different learning needs, and she has worked with learners with ADHD, dyslexia, autism and speech disorders. She is also experienced in supporting learners with anxiety and concentration difficulties, making her particularly well suited to providing the patience, encouragement and individual attention that can help learners feel comfortable and supported.
Outside of teaching, Harriet enjoys art and creativity, children’s literature, and mental health and well-being. She particularly enjoys developing creative projects through writing, art and workshops, as well as working with children and families. Her passion for education and creativity continues to shape the warm, supportive approach she brings to her work with learners.
