Hi, I’m Jacoba! I am a retired teacher with over 41 years of experience in education. Throughout my career, I specialised in teaching English and Art, working with young learners and helping them build strong foundations in both language and creativity. My passion has always been to create a supportive and encouraging environment where children feel confident to express themselves, develop their skills, and enjoy the learning process.

As a tutor, I focus on assisting learners in a patient, engaging, and structured way that suits their individual needs. I truly enjoy supporting younger learners, helping them strengthen their reading, writing, and comprehension skills while also nurturing their imagination through creative activities. I believe that learning should be fun, interactive, and confidence-building, especially for children in their early school years. My goal is to support each learner at their own pace and help them grow both academically and personally.

In my spare time, I enjoy bird watching, reading, painting art, and gardening. I also love going for walks, which gives me time to relax and find inspiration for creative projects. These hobbies often influence my teaching style, as I enjoy incorporating creativity and curiosity into lessons to make learning more enjoyable for children.
