Emile B

Hi, I’m Emile! I am currently completing a Bachelor of Science in Data Science, and I have always had a strong passion for learning and helping others succeed academically. In my matric year, I achieved excellent results across all seven of my subjects, including Accounting, Maths, IT, Physical Science, Afrikaans, English, and Life Orientation. Having tutored since high school, I have developed a confident, friendly, and approachable teaching style that helps students feel comfortable and supported throughout their learning journey.

As a tutor, my goal is not only to help students improve their marks, but also to help them genuinely enjoy and understand the subject they are working on. I believe that every student is capable of success when they are guided with patience, encouragement, and the right learning approach. I aim to empower my students, build their confidence, and help them achieve the results they desire in a way that feels engaging and rewarding rather than stressful.

Outside of academics, I spend much of my free time horse riding. My horse and I share a very close bond, so I ride almost every day. When he needs a rest, I enjoy practising ground archery to improve my mounted archery skills. Whenever I have some quieter time, I also love reading. I believe that maintaining balance through hobbies and personal interests is important, and I bring that same positive and motivated mindset into my tutoring sessions.

Oratile K

Hi, I’m Oratile! I am currently completing my Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, a journey fueled by a lifelong passion for problem-solving and technical excellence. My academic foundation is rooted in a highly successful matric year where I achieved six distinctions. These included 96% in Life Orientation, 85% in both Accounting and Afrikaans, and 82% in both Physical Science and English First Language. I also earned 80% in Life Science and maintained consistently strong marks in Mathematics, providing me with a versatile toolkit to help students excel across various disciplines.

Having served as a peer tutor since my own high school days, I have developed a teaching philosophy centered on empathy and accessibility. I strive to act as the essential middle ground between formal classroom education and a student’s daily workload, translating complex concepts into a language that feels familiar and manageable. My goal is always to meet students at their specific point of need, carefully analysing their unique strengths and weaknesses to provide tailored support that builds genuine confidence.

Beyond the world of Engineering and Medicine, I am deeply engaged in Politics and Religious Studies. I recently had the incredible opportunity to join the African Union youth group, where we work on initiatives to raise awareness about the union’s mission. Our primary focus is empowering young people to understand civic structures and learn how to effectively hold members of parliament accountable. Whether I am teaching or volunteering, I am driven by a desire to foster growth and a sense of responsibility in the next generation.

Khanyisile P

Hi, I’m Khanyisile! I am a passionate educator with a strong academic background in the sciences, having already completed a Bachelor of Science Honours in Human Genetics. I focus on building a student’s foundational skills and confidence so that they develop the tools to work independently and tackle future academic challenges with ease.

Outside of my studies and teaching, I like to stay active and give back to my community through Volunteering. You can often find me at the Gym, exploring local trails on Hikes, or spending quality time with My Dog. I believe that maintaining a balanced lifestyle helps me bring high energy and focus to my tutoring sessions, and I look forward to helping you succeed in your academic journey!

Galaletsang D

Hi, I’m Galaletsang! I am currently completing a Master of Science in Physics, a journey that began with a very strong academic foundation. During my matric year, I achieved stellar marks across all my subjects, including English, Afrikaans, and Life Orientation. This academic rigour, combined with my postgraduate studies, has provided me with a deep appreciation for the dedication required to excel in diverse disciplines.

I have been tutoring since 2019, and my primary goal is to help every student unlock their full potential. I believe that tutoring is about more than just delivering content; it is about encouraging and building confidence in learners to spark an ability they might not yet see in themselves. I understand that some students may lack a solid foundation in certain languages or subjects, which is why I place a heavy emphasis on patience. I am committed to moving slowly and concisely through the work, ensuring a thorough understanding so that students can confidently apply their knowledge in tests and exams.

When I am not focused on my research into radio sources, I enjoy exploring my passion for High-energy Astrophysics, a field I hope to branch into for a future PhD. I am also fascinated by programming and am eager to learn new languages beyond those required for my current field. In my spare time, I am a huge car enthusiast with a deep appreciation for sports cars. I find driving quite therapeutic—especially when paired with a great music playlist—as it allows me to recharge and return to my studies with a fresh perspective.
