Refiloe M

Hi! I’m Refiloe, and I am a dedicated educator with a strong academic foundation in the sciences and a certified Study Skills Crash Course Facilitator. I have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Sciences, a journey that solidified my passion for understanding complex systems and sharing that knowledge with others. My academic commitment dates back to my Matric year, where I achieved four distinctions, including 87% in Mathematics, 82% in Life Orientation and Life Science, and 81% in Physical Science. I also maintained strong marks in Sesotho, English, and Agricultural Science, providing me with a versatile range of expertise to support my students. I have been tutoring since 2016, and over the years, I have refined a purposeful and supportive teaching philosophy.

My primary goal is to facilitate learning by using a remedial approach; I believe in meeting students exactly where they are to truly understand their current level of comprehension. By identifying specific challenges, I can effectively fill the gaps in their knowledge and help them reach where they need to be. I strive to make difficult concepts accessible and to build the confidence necessary for long-term academic success. Teaching is my true passion, but above all, I value the genuine connections I build with people.

To maintain a balanced and inspired life, I engage in various creative outlets such as writing and painting, which allow me to express reflection and creativity in different ways. I also love listening to music, cooking, and constantly learning new things. When I am not in the classroom, you can usually find me outdoors hiking or going on walks, as staying active helps me remain curious and focused.
