Hi, I’m Geena! I’m currently completing a BA Honours Degree in Psychology, where I study human behaviour, motivation, and learning strategies—all of which inform my effective approach to tutoring. My own academic record demonstrates my commitment to excellence; in my matric year, I achieved three distinctions, scoring an 86% in History, a 92% in Maths Literacy, 87% in Life Orientation, and strong results in Afrikaans and Life Science. I’ve been actively tutoring since 2022, and I bring the same focus and dedication to helping my students succeed.

As a tutor, I see my role extending far beyond just teaching content. My aim is to be a mentor, guide, and positive role model for my students. I focus on using encouragement and motivation to instill a genuine love for learning. The goal is to help you find direction, feel confident in tackling complex material, and see yourself grow academically. I am passionate about creating an environment where every student feels inspired to learn and achieve their personal best.

Outside of my studies, I’ve found a new passion in tutoring at the university level, where I love aiding students who are looking for direction and advice. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch their enthusiasm and commitment grow as the semester progresses. I also enjoy engaging in artistic activities like drawing, sketching, and painting, and I have a talent for editing, proofreading, and creating literature. These interests reinforce my strong attention to detail and ability to communicate clearly, skills I bring to every tutoring session.
