Jean Luc I

Hi, I’m Jean Luc! I have completed a BTech in Surveying and am currently pursuing my Honours in Geomatics. My academic and professional journey has been rooted in precision, problem-solving, and continuous learning. In my matric year, I achieved a distinction in Mechanical Technology, which laid the foundation for my passion in technical and engineering-related fields.

I’ve been lecturing since 2018, and through this experience, I’ve developed a strong ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and approachable way. As a tutor, my goal is to identify the areas where students are struggling and provide the support they need to overcome those challenges. I focus on creating a space where learners feel comfortable asking questions and confident in their ability to improve.

In my spare time, I enjoy diving into research, reading, and programming. These interests keep me engaged with both theory and innovation, which I bring into my tutoring sessions. Whether it’s breaking down difficult topics or guiding students through practical applications, I’m passionate about helping others grasp new ideas and succeed in their studies.

Nothemba M

Hi, I’m Nothemba! I have completed a Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Civil Engineering, a field that has equipped me with a strong foundation in problem-solving, precision, and creative design thinking. My academic journey has given me a deep appreciation for subjects like Engineering Graphics and Design (EGD), which combine technical knowledge with artistic flair. Having excelled in both the theoretical and practical aspects of my studies, I’m excited to help students navigate their academic challenges, understand complex concepts, and build the confidence they need to succeed.

As a tutor, I aim to go beyond teaching the subject matter—I strive to enhance each student’s understanding by tailoring lessons to their unique learning style. My goal is to be a mentor who fosters curiosity and encourages students to think critically, skills that are vital for tackling any academic or real-world problem. With my background in civil engineering, I enjoy bringing practical examples into lessons to bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and real-life applications.

When I’m not tutoring, I enjoy participating in community outreach and cultivation projects that allow me to make a meaningful impact in society. I also love outdoor adventures and fitness training, which keep me energized and balanced. Additionally, I take great joy in being part of the preparation team at my church, where I’ve honed my organizational and event coordination skills. These experiences have taught me the importance of teamwork, adaptability, and perseverance—qualities that I bring into every tutoring session.

Tshiamo H

Hello! My name is Tshiamo, I’m a university alumni and currently doing my Masters of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering. I love helping the younger generation learn to love mathematics, science and engineering basics.

I have had passionate tutors who have helped me through my high school and university career. They guided me, listened well and taught me how to solve problems. These are qualities I have learned and use when tutoring. My method of teaching is by facilitation; you are in control of your own learning and I am there to guide you.

I’ve also facilitated a short course in coding. In my spare time, I enjoy music, writing, hiking and travel.
