I have been tutoring since 2021 and am passionate about supporting students to the best of my ability. As a tutor, I focus on emphasising foundational concepts so that learners can confidently build towards more complex levels of understanding. I believe that establishing a strong academic foundation is key to long-term success, and I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and growing in confidence. My goal is to help learners achieve their academic goals through patience, guidance, and tailored support.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy baking, volunteering, and swimming. These hobbies allow me to maintain a balanced lifestyle while also nurturing my creativity, discipline, and passion for helping others. Mpumeleleo M

Hi, I’m Mpumeleleo! I am passionate about helping students grow in confidence and reach their full potential through a supportive and encouraging learning environment. I have completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Education: FET Phase as well as a Bachelor of Commerce in Law, which has equipped me with both strong academic knowledge and practical teaching skills. My experience as a Teaching Assistant has taught me the importance of patience, encouragement and adapting lessons to suit each learner’s individual needs. I pride myself on creating a positive atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions, engaging with the work and developing confidence in their abilities.

One of my greatest strengths as a tutor is my ability to break content down into the very basics so that learners can truly understand and build confidence step by step. I strongly believe that no child is incapable — every student simply needs the right support, guidance and encouragement to unlock their abilities. Having benefited from tutors myself, I understand the positive impact that patient and personalised learning can have on a student’s academic journey. As a tutor, my goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them believe in themselves and develop a love for learning.

In my spare time, I am passionate about continuous growth and learning. Next year, I hope to begin my Honours in Education at UNISA while also embracing new experiences abroad. I am especially excited to join a local Chess team to improve my rating, travel and immerse myself in different cultures across China. I am also deeply interested in understanding neurodiversity and plan to invest more time and resources into learning about Autism and ADHD. Supporting learners with different learning needs is something very close to my heart, and I am committed to helping every student shine in their own unique way.
