Hi, I’m Annalize! I have completed a Diploma in Financial Management, and in my matric year, I achieved one distinction. As someone who is bilingual in Afrikaans and English, I enjoy working with languages and helping students find clarity and understanding. I’m passionate about tutoring because it allows me to guide students through challenging concepts and help them become more confident in their abilities.

As a tutor, my primary focus is to increase a child’s confidence. Many students hesitate to ask questions when they don’t understand something, so I aim to create an environment where they feel comfortable and supported. I take the time to identify where they went wrong and provide clear explanations in a way that resonates with them. I approach teaching with patience, kindness, and creative, out-of-the-box thinking to help each student reach their full potential.

In my spare time, I enjoy participating in GPS-based gaming with friends, like Ingress and Pokémon Go. I’m also an avid reader, particularly of science fiction by Isaac Asimov and thrillers by Stephen King. I’m a big fan of both DC and Marvel comics—why choose between them when they’re both amazing? I also love crocheting for fun, painting on fabric, and spending time near the ocean, which is my happy place.
