Kim Y

Hi, I’m Kim! I’m currently completing a Bachelor in Social Sciences, where I’m learning more about people, society, and the structures that shape our lives. In my matric year, I earned three distinctions: 80% in Afrikaans, 82% in Life Orientation, and 80% in Tourism. I also came very close in Accounting with 79%, and in Business Studies with 78%. These results reflect my commitment to my studies and my ability to stay consistent across a range of subjects.

I have three years of tutoring experience, and over time I’ve come to see just how much of a difference the right support can make. I believe school systems don’t always meet every student’s needs, and that’s where a tutor comes in—to fill in the gaps, build confidence, and help learners thrive in a way that makes sense for them. My goal is to create a safe, encouraging space where students can learn at their own pace, develop their strengths, and feel proud of their progress.

In my spare time, I enjoy being active in my church community. Whether I’m helping plan Sunday school lessons or assisting with outreach projects, I enjoy being part of something that brings people together. I also have a passion for organizing—finding simple, practical ways to make life run more smoothly is something I genuinely enjoy. Spending time with people, offering support, and staying connected to my community are all things that keep me grounded and fulfilled.

I focus on creating a supportive space where learners feel comfortable to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. I believe in nurturing each student’s unique abilities and working together to overcome challenges at their own pace.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling because it gives me the thrill of adventure and the opportunity to explore new places, cultures, and ideas.
