Hi, I’m Lodize! I have completed a National Diploma in Early Childhood Development and have been teaching since 2007. During my matric year, I achieved stellar marks in all my subjects, including Afrikaans, Drama, English, Life Science and Maths. My passion for education and helping learners grow has allowed me to build years of valuable teaching and tutoring experience.

As a tutor, I believe that building a good relationship with each student is essential for success. Hi, I’m Sariëtte! I hold a Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase Teaching and have dedicated my career to helping young learners build confidence and achieve academic success. During my matric year, I achieved excellent results in subjects such as English, Afrikaans, and Home Economics, which laid the foundation for my passion for education and language development. With over 10 years of teaching experience and more than 676 tutoring hours completed through BrightSparkz Tutors, I have had the privilege of working with a wide variety of learners, each with unique strengths and learning styles.

Tashiana matriculated under the IEB curriculum with outstanding results, achieving four distinctions in English (87%), Accounting (83%), Geography (81%), and Life Orientation (92%). She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Science at a leading university. Her strong academic foundation and passion for education form the basis of her deep commitment to supporting students in their learning journeys.

She has valuable external teaching experience, having tutored since 2021 as part of charity and volunteer initiatives, as well as teaching Sunday school. Hi, I’m Oratile! I am currently completing my Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, a journey fueled by a lifelong passion for problem-solving and technical excellence. My academic foundation is rooted in a highly successful matric year where I achieved six distinctions. These included 96% in Life Orientation, 85% in both Accounting and Afrikaans, and 82% in both Physical Science and English First Language. I also earned 80% in Life Science and maintained consistently strong marks in Mathematics, providing me with a versatile toolkit to help students excel across various disciplines.

Having served as a peer tutor since my own high school days, I have developed a teaching philosophy centered on empathy and accessibility. I strive to act as the essential middle ground between formal classroom education and a student’s daily workload, translating complex concepts into a language that feels familiar and manageable. My goal is always to meet students at their specific point of need, carefully analysing their unique strengths and weaknesses to provide tailored support that builds genuine confidence.

Beyond the world of Engineering and Medicine, I am deeply engaged in Politics and Religious Studies. Hi! I’m Hané, and I am thrilled to help you navigate your academic journey. I have successfully completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and am currently furthering my expertise by completing an Honours in Psychology. My own academic foundation is diverse and robust; during my matric year, I achieved strong marks across a wide range of subjects, including Accounting, Maths, Afrikaans, Visual Art, Design, Life Orientation, and English. This multidisciplinary background allows me to support students with both analytical and creative challenges.

Since I began tutoring in 2023, my primary mission has been to bridge the gap between students and teachers. I specialise in helping learners grasp complex concepts that they might have missed during a fast-paced classroom session. I firmly believe that a tutor’s role is to provide the practical steps and tailored guidance that busy parents—or those who did not have the opportunity to finish their own schooling—may not be able to provide. My goal is to equip every student with the specific skills and confidence they need to reach their full potential and succeed in their goals.

When I am not tutoring or immersed in my Psychology studies, I am usually exploring my various creative and active passions. Hi, I’m Galaletsang! I am currently completing a Master of Science in Physics, a journey that began with a very strong academic foundation. During my matric year, I achieved stellar marks across all my subjects, including English, Afrikaans, and Life Orientation. This academic rigour, combined with my postgraduate studies, has provided me with a deep appreciation for the dedication required to excel in diverse disciplines.

I have been tutoring since 2019, and my primary goal is to help every student unlock their full potential. I believe that tutoring is about more than just delivering content; it is about encouraging and building confidence in learners to spark an ability they might not yet see in themselves. I understand that some students may lack a solid foundation in certain languages or subjects, which is why I place a heavy emphasis on patience. I am committed to moving slowly and concisely through the work, ensuring a thorough understanding so that students can confidently apply their knowledge in tests and exams.

When I am not focused on my research into radio sources, I enjoy exploring my passion for High-energy Astrophysics, a field I hope to branch into for a future PhD. I am also fascinated by programming and am eager to learn new languages beyond those required for my current field. In my spare time, I am a huge car enthusiast with a deep appreciation for sports cars. Janine has completed a Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology as well as a Bachelor of Social Work. She achieved excellent results across her Matric subjects, including Afrikaans, English, Maths, History, Life Science and Latin. Her academic background, combined with her experience in the disability sector, has given her a strong understanding of how different learners learn and the importance of creating an environment where they feel supported.

Hi, I’m Beulah! I am currently completing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, and I have always been passionate about learning and helping others achieve their academic goals. In my matric year, I achieved five distinctions, including 82% in Afrikaans, 82% in History, 88% in Physical Science, 92% in Life Orientation, and 80% in Biology, alongside strong marks in English and Maths. These achievements have strengthened my understanding of effective study techniques, discipline, and the importance of confidence in academic success.

I have also had the opportunity to work as a Young Engineers Facilitator, where I guided children in developing an understanding of fundamental STEM principles through engaging and interactive learning experiences. This experience strengthened my ability to explain challenging concepts in a patient, encouraging, and approachable manner. As a tutor, I aim to create a supportive and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their abilities. My goal is to help learners become more independent, especially in exam settings, by providing clear explanations, constructive feedback, and continuous encouragement throughout the learning process.

Hi, I’m Kelli! I am currently completing a Bachelor of Medicine and have always been deeply passionate about academics and personal growth. In my matric year, I achieved 6 distinctions, including 90% in English, 92% in Afrikaans, 92% in French, 87% in Maths, 87% in Biology, 86% in Music, as well as strong marks in Physical Science. These achievements reflect both my dedication and my genuine love for learning across a wide range of subjects.

As a tutor, I aim not only to guide students through their academics, but also to challenge them to push beyond their comfort zones and achieve more than they thought possible. I particularly enjoy working with Maths and Science because I love the problem-solving, logic, and curiosity that these subjects inspire. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed when they are supported with patience, encouragement, and the right learning strategies.
