I am currently a final year Actuarial Science student. The degree has taught me a lot about commitment and dedication which I try to apply to my everyday life. I matriculated with 8 distinctions and I was fortunate enough to be part of the top 25 Free State matriculants. I also obtained a Golden Key membership and have been a member since. I love working with people and I am quite approachable and friendly and willing to go the extra mile for clients. I want to be a tutor to be able to help people and also learn more. I strive to be someone who will be able to cultivate confidence in a subject, so that the learner not only performs well, but also enjoys the work. Hi, I’m Didi! I’m currently completing a BCom in Accounting Sciences, where I am developing strong analytical and problem-solving skills. In my matric year, I achieved a distinction in Business Studies with 81%, along with great marks in Mathematics and Afrikaans. I also have experience with various subjects from primary school to high school level, which allows me to adapt my teaching approach to different learners’ needs. I believe that education is not just about results but about building confidence and a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

As a tutor, my goal is to guide and support learners with patience and care. I understand that every student learns differently, and I aim to break down concepts in a way that makes them easier to grasp. I am a final year Civil Engineering Student with over 4 years experience in tutoring Maths and Science to local and international students. I completed my Matric with 5 distinctions, including in the subjects – Maths, Physical Science, EGD, Geography and LO. I am now currently in the penultimate year of a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering at University. I have always loved working with children, even before I had completed my studies in BSc Sport Science and a Postgraduate degree in BSc Kinderkinetics at University. I have also worked as an au-pair for 5 years which included academic tutoring and academic support, in addition to my extensive experience as a tutor mainly for children in grades 0 – 9. I have worked with babies, toddlers, primary school children as well as children with special needs in therapy and coaching environments. I am a 3rd year Applied Mathematics and Quantitative Biology student. I completed my Matric with 5 distictions including Afrikaans, English, Biology, Music and Maths. I also managed to pass all my University Courses during the Covid Pandemic and write two sets of exams within a month of each other. I joined the AWS Cloud immersion program and exceeded at something I had never previously been exposed to. I would describe myself as patient, flexible and believe that I am able to explain complex topics in a simple manner. I enjoy helping other people understand difficult concepts, since I do believe that all the topics I tutor are interesting, if explained correctly. I’m friendly and always try motivate my students to do their best.

I am currently in my second year of studying Business Science and Computer Science. I absolutely love tutoring all subjects, but I have to admit that Mathematics is my favourite. I would like to teach every student that once a topic is fully understood, you actually enjoy it so much more. I believe I make a great tutor because I adapt to all learning styles. I passed with distinctions in Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences and Geography in Matric. I am currently completing an Aeronautical Engineering degree at the University of Witwatersrand. I went to a Cambridge school and achieved distinctions in both my O Levels and A Levels, with particularly high grades in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, and English. I was also a tutor for first year University level Maths at University and a volunteer teacher at my local Mosque for children aged 4-8. I’m currently completing my Masters in Public Health with a focus on Epidemiology and Biostatistics. I love working with learners and finding the best ways for them to enjoy and engage with their academics based on their strengths and interests.
