As a tutor, I aim to help students through the hard times, ensuring they never feel alone or like a failure. I understand that learning can sometimes be overwhelming, and my goal is to guide and encourage students while helping them find strategies that work for them. By breaking down concepts and building confidence step by step, I strive to make learning a more positive and empowering experience.

In my spare time, I enjoy crocheting, reading, and exploring new side hustles and income opportunities as a student. I have completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics, Econometrics, and Public Administration, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) specialising in Economics for the FET Phase and EMS for the Senior Phase. I am a Xhosa home language speaker, and I’ve been tutoring throughout my tertiary education, gaining valuable experience in guiding learners through challenging subjects with patience and clarity.

I have always enjoyed teaching, which inspired me to complete my PGCE, and I’ve even considered becoming a lecturer in the future. I love witnessing that “lightbulb moment” when a student finally grasps a concept, and I take great pride in helping them work through questions and fully understand a topic. For me, tutoring is about building confidence, fostering curiosity, and supporting learners until they feel capable and independent.

In my spare time, I’m a passionate sports fan—following most mainstream sports and proudly supporting Ferrari in Formula 1, Manchester United, the Lakers, the Springboks, the Stormers, and Orlando Pirates. I also enjoy gaming, both on console and PC, exploring theology, and spending time in nature through hiking and camping. Whether it’s clarifying difficult topics or simply being there as encouragement, I believe in meeting students where they are and helping them grow from there.

In my spare time, I enjoy a competitive game of chess — a passion I’ve had since primary school. It helps me think strategically and stay focused, skills I bring into my tutoring sessions as well.
