Hi, I’m Orthy! I’m currently completing a Bachelor of Education in the Intermediate Phase, where I’m developing the skills to support and guide young learners through key stages of their academic journey. In my matric year, I achieved two distinctions—80% in English and 88% in Business Studies—with a strong 72% in Afrikaans. I’m bilingual in English and Afrikaans, with Afrikaans as my home language, which allows me to connect with and assist a wider range of learners effectively.

As a tutor, I aim to be a support system and a helping hand—someone learners can rely on when they’re struggling to understand what they couldn’t grasp in the classroom. I focus on creating a safe, encouraging environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building their confidence step by step. My goal is to help each student unlock their potential and find joy in learning.

In my spare time, I’m passionate about musicals—everything involving singing and dancing brings me so much happiness, and it’s something I’d love to pursue further. I’ve also recently become interested in content creation and hope to explore it more as a creative outlet. I bring this same energy, creativity, and enthusiasm into my tutoring sessions, making learning engaging, supportive, and enjoyable.
