Chandre D

I’m Chandre! I am currently in my second year of completing my Bachelor of Education degree in the Intermediate Phase. During my Matric year I achieved 6 distinctions including 81% for Afrikaans, 86% for English, 82% for Engineering and Graphic Design, 88% for Hospitality Studies and 93% for Life Orientation. I have worked as an Au Pair and babysitter for many years, including spending two years as a full-time Au Pair in America.

I enjoy learning and I am very passionate about teaching and tutoring. As a tutor I aim to make my lessons fun, visual, and practical for my students. I am patient, hard-working and adaptable and in my spare time I enjoy playing softball and figure skating.

I’m Jean-Luc! I am in my third year of my Computer Science degree. In Matric I was the Deputy Head Boy and I achieved 5 distinctions including 80% for English, 80% for Afrikaans, 86% for Maths, 85% for IT and 81% for Physical Science.

I am passionate about tutoring and aim to assist you in feeling more confident. As a tutor I want to strengthen your skills and help you succeed. I have great communication and problem-solving skills and in my spare time I enjoy Karate and Gaming.

I’m Nadine! I matriculated with distinctions in both Afrikaans and English languages. I then went on to complete both undergraduate and post-graduate BCom degrees in university and now currently work in finance.

I have a passion for numbers, and love tutoring business subjects like Economics and Business Economics. I really love helping others to achieve their academic goals and recently helped a family member pass matric!

I consider myself well-mannered, friendly and compassionate. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, camping and hiking.

Mishendran

Hey, I’m Mishendran! I’m currently doing my Honours in Chemical Engineering at UKZN. In Matric I achieved distinctions for Maths, Physical Science, Life Science, IT, English & Afrikaans, and have been tutoring all of these subjects since I started my Bachelor of Engineering. I believe that tutoring is not only about focusing on curriculum and education but also about acting as a mentor to young learners.

I’m also interested in Robotics and coding, and have worked on some personal projects on these subjects to upskill my knowledge.

I would describe myself as determined, confident and friendly, and in my spare time I enjoy reading, volunteering and culinary art.

I matriculated in 2015 with 4 distinctions from an IEB school. After which I went on to complete my Bachelor of Business Sciences. During my undergraduate days, I did a significant amount of tutoring, accumulating over 400 hours of one-on-one lessons. I have experience in a variety of curricula (CAPS, IEB, CIE, SATS, GED and IB) and a variety of subjects (English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Life Sciences, EMS, Business Studies and Economics). I completed my PGCE in 2022 (likely with distinction) and have 2 years full time teaching experience in a special needs school. I am a very bubbly and extroverted individual who loves reading and learning about other people.

Hello, my name is Bongani. I am currently a student in my 3rd year studying for a Bachelor of Commerce degree with majors in Economics and Econometrics. I have experience in tutoring grade 10 to 12 Economics, Mathematical Literacy as well as Afrikaans FAL. I am also a career guidance influencer working for the Centre for Psychological Services and Career Development at my University. I believe I am a handy tutor as I not only provide academic assistance, but also career guidance. In my spare time – I play tennis and hockey and enjoy reading.

Hi there, my name is Marnie. I am a Christian and love the church. I am currently studying a Bachelors degree in Social Sciences and majoring in Psychology and Counselling. In my matric year I was a top academic achiever. I have a deep passion for helping people. I believe that our hope is in the next generation. I see tutoring as a tool to help children achieve all their goals and reach their full potential. Personally – I enjoy going to the beach with my dogs, I love animals and care for them deeply. I love sharing my knowledge with others and watching them grow. As a child, I always wanted to be a teacher and I believe tutoring is a great way to fulfill this childhood dream of mine. In matric I obtained 3 distinctions, missing the 4th distinction by 1%. Due to my vast interest and knowledge in a variety of subjects I am able to tutor English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Accounting, History, Geography, and Life Orientation. I am a recently qualified Chartered Accountant who is taking a sabbatical after the many years of studying and articles.
