Hi I’m Hayley! In my matric year I achieved three distinctions, earning 83% in English, 82% in Afrikaans and 81% in History. I have always had a strong passion for languages and the humanities, and I understand the dedication and resilience it takes to perform well academically. My own experience has equipped me with effective study techniques, essay-writing skills and exam strategies that I love sharing with my learners.

I have been an au pair since 2019, which has given me valuable experience working closely with young people of different ages, personalities and learning styles. Through this, I have developed patience, kindness and adaptability, recognising that every learner is unique and may need support tailored to their individual strengths and challenges. I strive to create a safe, inclusive environment where learners feel heard, understood and comfortable asking questions without fear of judgement.

As a tutor, I aim to build confidence and independence, helping learners feel fully prepared to write tests, complete projects and truly understand the concepts they are studying. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into manageable steps and explaining content clearly so they know exactly what is going on. In my spare time, I thoroughly enjoy reading and sewing, hobbies that reflect my creativity and attention to detail — qualities I also bring into my tutoring sessions.
