I’m Chandre! I am currently in my second year of completing my Bachelor of Education degree in the Intermediate Phase. During my Matric year I achieved 6 distinctions including 81% for Afrikaans, 86% for English, 82% for Engineering and Graphic Design, 88% for Hospitality Studies and 93% for Life Orientation. I have worked as an Au Pair and babysitter for many years, including spending two years as a full-time Au Pair in America.

I enjoy learning and I am very passionate about teaching and tutoring. As a tutor I aim to make my lessons fun, visual, and practical for my students. I am patient, hard-working and adaptable and in my spare time I enjoy playing softball and figure skating.

I’m Vijay! have a postgraduate qualification in mathematics and science and about 15 years of teaching and private tutoring experience. I taught both at primary schools as well as at high schools, mostly mathematics from grade 4 to grade 10.

My biggest strengths, being my dedication, hard work and compassion was greatly valued at the schools at which I have previously taught.I have been very successful in accommodating diverse students’ needs by facilitating all learning styles.

In my spare time, I enjoy watching educational videos and podcasts.

I am an artist and educator. I adopted the nickname “Jeffrey” when I was in a metal band in high school, which is where I discovered my passion for sharing information and understanding with others. This is also where I gained my first experience as a tutor in my boarding house. I am now currently studying toward a PGCE qualification as I believe that I can offer a lot to the next generation both in the classroom, and as a tutor. I have 10+ years of tutoring experience. My qualifications include ABA Communication Science degree, a TKT Young Learners Cambridge certificate, a TEFL certificate, NUE Outcomes Based Education certificate and a few others. I taught English in China for approximately 2 years, where I received an honorary reward in 2019.
I have experience working with students with ADD & ADHD diagnoses and also assisted with occupational therapy homework. I’ve been tutoring Afrikaans to learners in various grades, and I’m really enthusiastic and passionate about educating students. In my spare time, I like gardening, creating worksheets, listening to music and spending time with family and friends.

I have always loved working with children, even before I had completed my studies in BSc Sport Science and a Postgraduate degree in BSc Kinderkinetics at University. I have also worked as an au-pair for 5 years which included academic tutoring and academic support, in addition to my extensive experience as a tutor mainly for children in grades 0 – 9. I have worked with babies, toddlers, primary school children as well as children with special needs in therapy and coaching environments. I am currently a 4th year medical student at University. In my final year of Matric, I completed my studies with 6 distinctions, some including in Afrikaans,Maths, Biology and Physical Science. I am still very much passionate about these subjects and will strive to ensure that students are fully equipped with the tools necessary to succeed. I have a BA qualification (in English and History) from the University of Stellenbosch and I am currently doing my PGCE qualification at TUKS. The responsibility of a tutor is to assist learners by giving them the tools and skills to function and succeed independently. That is why I see myself as a helping hand rather than a dictator. I am incredibly patient and will always find new or creative ways to explain something, no matter how many times I may need to. On a more personal side, I love reading, learning, cooking and baking.
