Lara J

Hello, I’m Lara, and I’m excited to introduce myself as your tutor. I hold a Bachelor of Psychology degree, which has equipped me with a deep understanding of human behavior and the importance of fostering positive emotional development. During my matric year, I achieved excellent academic results, including one distinction, with an impressive 90% in art, reflecting my passion for creativity and self-expression.

My journey as an educator began back in 2012 when I started volunteering at the Lefika Art Therapy Centre. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching life skills classes to underprivileged children in our community. These experiences have taught me the power of patience, active listening, and genuine empathy when working with young minds. I derive immense satisfaction from watching children grow, and my goal is to inspire them to pursue careers that bring them joy and fulfillment.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially taking long walks to appreciate nature’s beauty. I also cherish quiet moments with my family, which reinforce my belief in the importance of building strong, supportive relationships. My passion for working with kids goes hand in hand with my interest in teaching them how to love themselves, helping them develop into confident, self-assured individuals. I look forward to embarking on this educational journey with your child and contributing to their personal and academic growth.
