Tadiwanashe N

Hi, I’m Tadiwanashe! I am currently completing a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics, a field that perfectly blends my passion for innovation with technical precision. My academic journey has been defined by excellence; notably, I was awarded Academic Full Colours in high school in 2023. During my matric year, I achieved stellar marks across all my subjects, demonstrating particular strength and mastery in Mathematics and Physics. These achievements have provided me with a robust foundation that I am eager to share with my students.

As a tutor, I aim to be a true companion to each student, walking alongside them to help and guide them through the complexities of their academic journey. I believe that learning is most effective when a student feels supported, and I am dedicated to helping them progress quickly by simplifying difficult concepts and building their confidence in their own abilities.

When I am not immersed in the world of Engineering, I am a dedicated fitness enthusiast. I believe that the discipline and perseverance required in physical training mirror the dedication needed for academic success. Whether I am working through a complex Mechatronics problem or staying active, I bring a high level of energy and focus to everything I do. I look forward to helping my students reach their full potential and navigate their studies with ease and enthusiasm.

Mduduzi N

Hi, I’m Mduduzi. I’m currently completing a Bachelor of Science in Physics, driven by a strong passion for understanding how the world and universe work. In my matric year, I achieved a distinction in Mathematics (84%), along with strong results in Zulu, Life Orientation, Geography, Life Science, and Physical Science, which gave me a solid academic foundation across both the sciences and humanities.

As a tutor, I pride myself on being patient and approachable. I believe that effective learning starts with listening, so I take the time to understand each learner’s needs and challenges. I am also attentive to the emotional state of my learners and adapt my teaching approach accordingly, creating a supportive and encouraging environment where they can build confidence and succeed.

In my spare time, I have a strong interest in Astronomy, which complements my studies in Physics. I also enjoy art, hiking, and football, as they help me stay creative, active, and balanced. These interests allow me to connect easily with learners and bring enthusiasm and real-world perspective into my tutoring sessions.

Treatwell P

Hi, I’m Treatwell! I am currently completing my MSc Physics, a pursuit that reflects my deep passion for understanding the fundamental laws of the universe. My academic journey began with a strong performance in my matric year, where I achieved three distinctions: 88% in History, 82% in Physical Science, and 80% in Life Orientation. Alongside these, I earned strong marks in English and Life Science, providing me with a well-rounded academic background that bridges both the sciences and the humanities.

I have been tutoring since 2023, and I view my role as being a bridge between the learner and the complex material presented by lecturers. My primary goal is to identify specific areas of struggle or discomfort and provide the necessary elaboration to turn those challenges into strengths. By fostering a clear connection between the student and the curriculum, I aim to make high-level concepts accessible and manageable for everyone I teach.

Outside of my academic goal to eventually earn a PhD, I am highly motivated by several personal projects. I am interested in launching a profit-bearing business and hope to start a YouTube channel to discuss various science-related subjects and entertainment. Furthermore, I am deeply committed to growing spiritually and understanding the word of God on a profound level, with the long-term aspiration of serving as a public minister or evangelist.

Carlos M

Hi, I’m Carlos! I’m currently completing a BSc in Computer Science, where I get to combine my love for logic, problem-solving, and technology. In my matric year, I achieved 4 distinctions, including 89% in Mathematics, 81% in Computer Studies, 87% in Physics, and 80% in English. These subjects sparked my interest in both analytical and creative thinking — a balance I bring into everything I do, especially tutoring.

As a tutor, my goal is to mentor and motivate students by helping them find study methods that work best for them. I believe that every learner is unique, and part of my role is to explore different approaches until we discover what clicks. I want my students to feel encouraged, capable, and supported — because learning should be something that builds confidence, not anxiety. Whether it’s mastering a new concept or preparing for an exam, I’m here to guide each step of the way.

In my spare time, I enjoy both math and art — two seemingly different worlds that actually go hand in hand. Math teaches precision and structure, while art allows freedom and creativity. I think that’s the perfect metaphor for learning: it requires both discipline and imagination, and I try to inspire that balance in my students too.

Jessica J

Hi, I’m Jessica!, I am currently pursuing a BSc (Hons.) in Applied Mathematics, a subject that has always fascinated me for its ability to solve real-world problems. In my matric year, I achieved 7 distinctions, including 99% in Mathematics, 97% in Accounting, and 97% in AP Mathematics, reflecting my passion for academics and my commitment to excellence. Over the past four years, I have been tutoring students across various subjects, helping them not only to improve their grades but also to gain confidence in their abilities and develop a deeper understanding of their coursework.

As a tutor, my priority is to help students engage meaningfully with their work and understand how to apply what they have learned. I strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel empowered to ask questions and explore concepts in depth. By tailoring my approach to each student’s unique learning style, I aim to make lessons both effective and enjoyable, ensuring that students leave with practical skills and a stronger grasp of their subject material.

In my spare time, I enjoy an active and creative lifestyle. I’m an avid cyclist and runner, regularly training for events but also enjoying the social aspects of these activities. Recently, I’ve ventured into surfing, which has been both an exciting and rewarding challenge. When I’m not outdoors, I love immersing myself in diverse genres of literature, from historical fiction to biographies, and nurturing my creative side through drawing, embroidery, and pottery. This balance of interests helps me bring energy and a fresh perspective to everything I do.
