Tutor of the Month: November 2023

Meet Khumo S, one of our sparkling tutors. Khumo is one of our excellent, dedicated and determined tutors who is passionate about helping her students acheive their full potential.

Khumo matriculated in 2015 with excellent results, achieving distinctions in Business Studies, English, Maths, and Geography. She went on to study for a BSc Engineering degree at the University of Stellenbosch, where she is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Civil Engineering.

She is one of our highly sought-after tutors who assists with English, Maths and Physical Science up to Grade 12 level, as well as Mathematics (advanced programme) and Statistics (advanced programme) up to 2nd year university level. Khumo has been a tutor since 2020 and has completed over 180 tutoring hours. She has received 5-star feedback from her clients for her skillful way of explaining, visualising, and supporting her students. In her spare time, Khumo enjoys hiking, and, more recently, learning German and Spanish. She prides herself on her confidence, adaptability, and optimism.

What else would Khumo like you to know about herself?

“I achieved excellent results in Mathematics, Physical Sciences and English in matric and I am pursuing my Masters in Civil Engineering part time at the University of Stellenbosch. I know the excellent results that students can achieve from tutoring as I was part of the Kumon program for 10 years. I have tutored as a volunteer to primary school students and as a tutor to students in their second year of study in Engineering (specifically Engineering Mathematics). I may be characterised as an ‘Enginerd’ but my interests are vast including languages , music, television series and weight lifting.”
