Tutor of the Month: October 2023

Meet Mthobisi N, one of our sparkling new tutors. Mthobisi is one of our excellent, dedicated and determined tutors who is passionate about helping his students acheive their full potential.

Mthobisi matriculated in 2020 with wonderful marks including a distinction in Maths. He went on to study a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering at the University of KwaZulu Natal. Mthobisi has been described as a down to earth tutor who believes in a structured approach to tutoring. He has presented himself as polite, well prepared, engaging, relatable, with a warm yet charismatic nature.

Mthobisi has been a BrightSparkz Tutors for just over a year but has quickly showcased his phenomenal tutoring skills earning him 5 star feedback from his clients for the outstanding academic and interpersonal results, which he assisted in fostering. His most recent success was a client describing him as follows: “Mthobisi is beyond excellent; he gives hope to the future of SA”. In his spare time, he enjoys partaking in soccer, music, reading, poetry and storytelling.

What else would Mthobisi like you to know about himself?

“I pledge to research led teaching and learning as well as conceptual understanding. I prefer to encourage students to ask questions and thoroughly understand things. In my experience non-traditional ways of learning such as hands-on learning learning have been proven to quite beneficial. I appreciate passing on my knowledge to others and seeing them succeed, thus tutoring for BrightSparkz Tutors appears to be a nice place to start.”
