Hi, I’m Kurhula! I’m currently working towards my Bachelor of Science Honors in Statistics. During my matric year, I worked hard and achieved 6 distinctions, including 85% in English, 92% in Maths, 88% in Geography, 89% in Life Orientation, 91% in Life Science, and 95% in Physical Science. These results reflect my commitment to learning and my passion for academics. I find that a strong foundation in subjects like Maths and Physical Science is key to mastering other areas of study, and I’m excited to share this with others.

I also have some experience as a Teaching Assistant, where I helped students grasp difficult concepts and encouraged their academic growth. Through this, I discovered my passion for teaching and realized how rewarding it is to help someone understand something they’ve been struggling with. As a tutor, my main goal is to make complex subjects, especially Maths and Physical Science, more approachable and understandable for my students. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where every student feels empowered to ask questions and improve at their own pace.

In my spare time, I’m really interested in working with data—whether it’s mining, cleaning, or deriving insights from it. I believe data has the power to inform decisions and drive change, and this curiosity extends to everything I learn. I always feel the urge to share what I know with others, so teaching has become a natural way for me to impart the knowledge I’ve gained. Hi, I’m Heike! I have completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering, and my passion for problem-solving and analytical thinking drives me to help others excel in their studies. In my matric year, I achieved 7 distinctions, including 92% in both Afrikaans and English, 88% in Mathematics, 87% in Physical Science, and 89% in Life Science. My strong academic background has equipped me with the skills to break down complex concepts and make them easier to understand.

As a tutor, my goal is to provide support to learners who may be struggling and help them where they need it most. I’m also a huge sports fan, particularly cricket, and had the privilege of being the official scorer for my school’s first cricket team for three years. Hi, I’m James! I hold a Master’s in Education and have dedicated my career to fostering a love for learning, particularly in the field of Physical Science. I have served as a Physical Science teacher for the Department of Education in Limpopo for 26 years, gaining invaluable experience in classroom instruction and student engagement. Additionally, for the past 9 years, I’ve been a Physical Science learning facilitator with Trac SA under the University of Stellenbosch, where I’ve helped drive science education excellence on a broader scale.

Hi! I’m Caitlin, and I’m currently completing my Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. I have a strong foundation in the sciences and received a distinction in the Cambridge curriculum with a 90% in Chemistry. My academic journey has equipped me with both theoretical and practical knowledge, and I love sharing that with others through tutoring.

I’ve been tutoring for over two years and am passionate about helping students reach their full potential. Watching people learn and improve is incredibly fulfilling for me. My approach revolves around tailoring lessons to each learner’s unique needs and adapting to their preferred learning style. Outside academia, I find solace in nature through activities like hiking, picnics, and canoeing, as well as enjoying a game of squash. I’m Maphuti! I completed my Matric year and went on to study a BSc in Biodiversity and Conversation Biology at university where I am also currently working as a Life Sciences tutor and a mentor to BSc students.
