Lucy B

Hi, I’m Lucy! I have completed a Bachelor of Science and am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, combining my passion for science with my dedication to helping others. In my matric year, I achieved seven distinctions, including 91% in English, 94% in Afrikaans, 94% in Maths, 86% in Life Orientation, 93% in Geography, 90% in Life Science, and 88% in Physical Science. These results reflect my strong academic foundation and disciplined approach to learning.

As a tutor, I aim to help students feel confident in both their abilities and their study methods. I focus on guiding learners in how to prepare effectively for exams, while also helping them discover how they learn best and how to use their individual learning styles to their advantage. My approach is supportive and structured, ensuring that students not only understand their work but also develop the skills and independence needed to succeed academically.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading and listening to music, as well as exploring the arts. I love visiting art galleries and attending performances in the dramatic arts, such as theatre and ballet—one of my highlights was watching Swan Lake at the Artscape Theatre Centre in Cape Town. I also enjoy spending time in nature through walks and hikes. Additionally, I have a strong interest in history, and I often read history textbooks, watch documentaries, and visit museums, which continues to enrich my curiosity and love for learning.

Sahra A

Hi, I’m Sahra! I’m currently completing a Master of Health Sciences in Chiropractic, and I am deeply passionate about education, health, and helping students build confidence in their academic abilities. In my matric year, I achieved two distinctions, including 80% in Afrikaans and 82% in Life Orientation, along with strong marks in Life Science. These subjects remain areas I feel particularly confident supporting, and my academic background allows me to guide students with both knowledge and practical study strategies.

I have been tutoring since 2021 and have had the opportunity to work with students across different curricula, which has strengthened my ability to adapt my approach to a variety of learning styles and academic requirements. As a tutor, my goal is not simply to reteach the work, but to reinforce what has already been taught in the classroom. I focus on equipping students with effective tools, study techniques, and learning mechanisms tailored to each individual so they can become more independent, confident learners.

Outside of academics, I have a strong interest in wellness and balanced living. I enjoy fitness and Pilates, and I also create content focused on wellness, skincare, and lifestyle. In my spare time you’ll often find me exploring new cafés and restaurants, reading, and investing in personal development. I believe that maintaining curiosity and a growth mindset is essential, and I strive to inspire the same mindset in the students I work with.
