Adrienne S

Hello, I’m Adrienne, currently on the journey to complete my BSc. Eng. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand. In my matric year, I achieved remarkable success with six distinctions, including 88% in Accounting, 82% in Afrikaans, 85% in English, 84% in Life Orientation, 84% in Physical Science, and an impressive 91% in Visual Arts. Drawing from my academic achievements and tutoring experience since 2020, I aim to guide students through their learning journey with patience and clarity.

As a tutor, I’ve been commended for my ability to explain complex concepts effectively. My approach is centered on providing additional explanations and guidance to ensure students grasp difficult topics with confidence. Outside of tutoring, my interests span a wide range of activities, including pet portraiture, sailing, rock climbing, and following motorsports, particularly Formula 1.

I’m Ennie, and I’m on a journey to become an Astrophysicist. Currently, I am pursuing a BSc degree in Physical Sciences, with a major in Physics and Applied Mathematics at the University of Johannesburg. During my matric year, I earned five distinctions, showcasing my dedication to academics, including 83% in Sepedi, 84% in English, 80% in Life Orientation, and 81% in Physical Science. Having been involved in tutoring since 2019, I’ve served as a tutor assistant for Mathematics (Grades 3 to 12) and Physical Sciences (Grades 10 to 12). This experience has ignited my passion for education and helping students reach their full potential, much like the support I sought during my high school years, which played a pivotal role in achieving my own academic goals.

As a tutor, my primary aim is to share my love for learning and instill that passion in my students. I firmly believe in the power of education to transform lives, and I want to be a part of that transformation. Beyond academics, I’m an advocate for mental health, recognizing the crucial role it plays in a student’s overall well-being.

I’m also enthusiastic about learning different programming languages, as they offer a unique way to explore problem-solving and analytical thinking.

Hello, I’m Nontobeko, and I’m delighted to introduce myself as your tutor. Armed with a BSc Honors degree in applied mathematics, I have a strong foundation in the world of numbers and problem-solving. My academic journey began with impressive achievements during my matric year, where I secured two distinctions, notably excelling with an 81% in isiZulu and an 80% in mathematics, highlighting my dedication to both language and mathematical precision.

My passion for mathematics extends beyond the classroom, as I’ve gained valuable experience tutoring 2nd and 3rd-year Applied Mathematics modules at the university level. My tutoring philosophy revolves around helping students truly grasp the material while fostering meaningful connections with them. I’m Aa’ishah! I successfully completed my Matric year with marks that I am truly proud of, having received 2 distinctions which I obtained in Biology with 81% and Maths with 85%.

I have acquired some tutoring experience and have seen my students increase their marks and understanding in subjects which I find very fulfilling. I have chosen to tutor as I have a keen interest in sharing knowledge, and I believe the role of a tutor is to share the love for learning.

I would describe myself as organized, good at problem solving and possessing good leadership qualities. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, going for walks and watching movies.

Hi! I’m Ayakha, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science. These achievements reflect my dedication to academic excellence and my ability to excel in diverse subjects.

Teaching and guiding learners has always been a passion of mine, which has fueled my enthusiasm for education and tutoring. I firmly believe that with the right guidance and support, anyone can achieve their academic goals. Alongside my love for teaching, I am also deeply passionate about sports. I actively compete in chess tournaments and enjoy playing basketball and rugby. Through my involvement in sports, I have learned the importance of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance – qualities that are crucial for academic success.

I’m Retshepile! I completed my Matric year successfully and received 2 distinctions which I obtained in Mathematics with 85% and Physical Science with 87%. With these achievements, I then went on to study a Bachelor of Business Science in Finance with Accounting at University.

I have gained valuable experience tutoring for the past couple of years and enjoy helping learners with new strategies and helping them improve their marks.

As a critical thinker – my favourite hobby is chess, and when I’m not studying or playing chess, I enjoy watching movies and playing soccer in my spare time.

I’m Arinao! I completed my matric year with results that I am really proud. I received 5 distinctions in Maths (84%), Physical Science (83%), Life Science (82%), LO (83%) and Geography (87%) – a testament to my dedication and hard work. I am now currently pursuing a BSC in Computer Science and Physics where I’m now in my third year of study.

Furthermore, I have had the privilege of volunteering at various schools, where I have had the opportunity to share my unique approach to teaching and help students achieve outstanding results in their matric exams.

In my spare time, I enjoy gaming, programming and problem solving.

I’m Thalente! I did really well in my matric year and completed the grade with 3 distinctions, namely – Maths with 88%, Physical Science with 86% and Zulu with 81%. I am now doing my final year at university, studying a BSc in Pure and Applied Mathematics.

I am currently a tutor at the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at my university and also have experience tutoring high school Mathematics at a local school in my community. I believe that I am a great tutor because I love helping people and I enjoy seeing people excel in their academic life.

When I am not studying or tutoring, I enjoy reading books, playing board games and traveling.
