“I have an LLB Honors degree and I am currently working part-time as a legal researcher and adviser at an NGO in a rural area in Margate that assists gender-based violence and domestic violence victims. We work with a tribal council so I help with translations and consultations from English to Zulu and vice versa. I started tutoring and being a language trainer when I was in high school (2008) by assisting the other learners with lessons in isiZulu. I have also assisted at church with confirmation classes where I polished the members’ Zulu language, helped with their Zulu bible studies etc. to allow them to be well prepared for the confirmation examinations.”
