Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m currently completing a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering, a field that has strengthened my analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and appreciation for structured learning. During my matric year, I achieved five distinctions, including 86% in Life Science, 80% in English, 83% in History, 88% in Life Orientation, and 81% in Physical Science, along with strong marks in Zulu and Economics. These achievements reflect both my dedication to learning and my ability to master a wide range of subjects.

As a tutor, my goal is not to replace a teacher, but to create a supportive one-to-one learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing where they struggle. I focus on bridging learning gaps by explaining concepts in ways that are clear and relatable to each individual student. Every learner is different, so I aim to zone in on their specific needs, adapt my approach, and help them build confidence in their abilities while working towards achieving their academic goals.

Outside of academics, I enjoy activities that allow me to think creatively and contribute positively to those around me. I have a strong interest in writing, community work, and finding ways to make a meaningful difference in my community. When I’m looking to relax, I enjoy the simple satisfaction of completing 1000-piece puzzles and collecting vintage trinkets. These interests reflect both my curiosity and my appreciation for detail—qualities that also shape the way I approach tutoring and supporting students on their learning journeys.
