Hi, I’m Shirlique! I have always had a deep love for teaching, which led me to complete my Bachelor of Education in the Senior and FET Phase. I believe that every learner has their own unique way of understanding the world, and my goal is to nurture that by creating a safe and supportive learning environment. I want my students to feel heard, valued, and encouraged as they grow in their academic journey, building not only their knowledge but also their confidence.

My tutoring approach is gentle and student-centered, always tailored to the needs of each individual. I believe patience and empathy are key to learning, so I take the time to truly understand where my students are struggling and guide them through challenges at their own pace. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a learner light up when they grasp a new concept. My greatest hope is to help students achieve their academic goals while also developing a love for learning that stays with them long after our sessions end.

In my spare time, I love curling up with a good book or getting lost in a movie or series. I have a deep appreciation for history and enjoy learning about the past, as it gives me a greater understanding of the world around me. I also like discovering new ways to make my future classroom a warm and engaging space, where students feel inspired to learn. Teaching is more than just a profession to me—it’s a calling, and I am so grateful for every opportunity to help students grow.
