Hi, I’m Caitlin! I’m currently completing a BSc in Mechanical & Mechatronic Engineering, a field that challenges me to think critically and solve problems creatively. In my matric year, I achieved seven distinctions, including 95% in English, 93% in Afrikaans, 96% in Mathematics, 97% in Physical Science, 100% in Geography, and 97% in Drama. My academic journey has taught me the importance of strong learning techniques, and I am eager to share these with my students to help them achieve their own success.

As a tutor, I aim to guide and equip students with the skills they need to excel, not just in their studies but throughout life. I believe that effective learning methods, once mastered, can be applied to any subject or challenge. My approach is supportive and encouraging, ensuring that students feel confident in their abilities while developing independence in their learning. More than just a tutor, I strive to be a mentor and support system, helping students reach their full potential.

In my spare time, I am an active person who enjoys running and playing squash to stay energized. I also love music and play the guitar in my free time. Theatre and the dramatic arts hold a special place in my heart, as I find great joy in storytelling and performance. Another passion of mine is helping animals, which I do through the Animal Shelter Volunteer Club at UCT. Whether in academics, the arts, or animal welfare, I believe in dedicating myself fully to the things that matter—and I bring that same commitment and enthusiasm to tutoring.
