Hi, I’m Ziyaan! I’m currently completing my Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy at Stellenbosch University, where my passion for understanding people and how they learn continues to grow. I’ve been tutoring since 2021, and I especially enjoy helping students navigate subjects like Geography—one of my strongest areas during matric, where I achieved excellent results alongside English and Afrikaans. I understand the importance of a supportive learning environment and aim to help learners not only improve academically but also grow in confidence and curiosity.

As a tutor, I take a holistic approach. While I focus on delivering subject knowledge—particularly in high school Geography—I also aim to nurture cognitive development, emotional growth, and independent thinking skills. I believe that learning should be engaging and empowering, helping students discover how they learn best and encouraging them to take ownership of their education. Geography is more than maps and memorization; it’s about understanding the world, and I love helping students connect classroom content to real-life contexts.

In my spare time, I have a wide range of interests that keep me inspired. I enjoy expressing myself through arts and crafts, trying my hand at crochet, and spending time teaching and swimming. I also enjoy the focus and fun of a good game of pool. Cooking and baking are creative outlets for me, and I’m always learning something new—currently, I’m embracing the challenge of learning sign language to expand how I connect with others. My love of learning is something I strive to pass on to my students in every session.
