Hi, I’m Matthew! I’m currently completing a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, where my passion for problem-solving and logical thinking continues to grow. In my matric year, I achieved five distinctions, including 82% in Afrikaans, 84% in Mathematics, 84% in English, 80% in Engineering Graphics and Design, and 84% in Physical Science. My academic journey has taught me the importance of perseverance and finding the right approach to understanding complex concepts.

As a tutor, my goal is to help students overcome their struggles by actively listening and tailoring explanations to suit their learning style. I believe that every student has the potential to excel when given the right support, and I strive to make subjects more approachable by encouraging an open-minded perspective. Whether it’s breaking down challenging problems or finding creative ways to explain difficult topics, I aim to foster confidence and a deeper understanding in my students.

In my spare time, I enjoy all things related to cars, from their mechanics to their design. I’m also passionate about sports, including hockey, soccer, rugby, Formula 1, and golf. Beyond that, I find joy in photography, reading, and running, as they offer a balance between creativity, knowledge, and staying active. These interests keep me engaged and constantly learning, which I bring into my tutoring to make lessons dynamic and relatable.
