Hi, I’m Isipho! I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Social Science at the University of Cape Town, majoring in Psychology and Industrial Psychology. My academic journey has been deeply focused on understanding human behavior, and during my matric year, I achieved 5 distinctions, including 87% in Business Studies, 80% in English, 98% in History, 80% in Life Orientation, and 86% in Tourism. These achievements fuel my passion for learning and furthering my knowledge, especially in the field of psychology.

With six months of tutoring experience, I’ve had the privilege of being part of the UCT tutoring program, where I focus on helping students understand the principles and applications of psychology. My approach as a tutor goes beyond just academic content. I aim to consider the individual’s environment, background, and emotional well-being, all of which play significant roles in how they learn. By tailoring my tutoring methods to each student’s needs and providing a compassionate, empathetic approach, I strive to create an environment that helps students not only understand psychology but also appreciate its relevance in everyday life.

In my free time, I enjoy reading books related to psychology, which helps me deepen my understanding of various theories and practices. I also love playing sports, particularly netball, as it allows me to build teamwork and leadership skills. These activities help me maintain a healthy balance between my academic and personal life, which I believe is key to being an effective and empathetic tutor. I’m excited to share my passion for psychology with students and to help them succeed in their studies, while fostering a deeper understanding of the human mind and behavior.
