Hi, I’m Ella! I have been tutoring since 2018, driven by a genuine passion for education and a desire to help students unlock their full academic potential. My own educational journey has equipped me with a strong foundation in both the sciences and humanities. In my matric year, I achieved seven distinctions, including 88% in English, 86% in Afrikaans, 86% in Accounting, 90% in Life Orientation, 87% in Life Science, 85% in Mathematics, and 83% in Physical Science. Building on that success, I completed a BSc Biomedical Mathematical Science and am currently completing a Bachelor of Medicine, which continuously deepens my technical expertise and love for learning.

As a tutor, my primary aim is to help students truly comprehend and master difficult concepts rather than just memorising them. I understand that the way a teacher presents material in a classroom might not always align with an individual student’s unique learning style. Because of this, I pride myself on being highly adaptable, tailoring my approach to suit the specific needs, strengths, and pacing of each student. My goal is to create a supportive environment where complex topics become approachable and students feel empowered to succeed.

When I am not studying or tutoring, I love staying active and exploring a wide variety of personal interests. I am incredibly passionate about music; I play the guitar, write frequently, and love attending ballets, operas, and classical music performances. To relax, I enjoy crocheting and make it a rule to read every single day to keep learning new things. I also have a great love for the outdoors and staying active, so you will often find me running, cycling, swimming, or hiking whenever I get the chance.
