Ameera Y

Hi, I’m Ameera! I’m currently completing my BScEng in Chemical Engineering at the University of Cape Town. During my matric year, I achieved five distinctions, including 82% for English, 86% for Math, 80% for AP Maths, 86% for IT, and 86% for Business Studies. My academic journey has given me a strong foundation in a wide range of subjects, but Business Studies is where my passion truly lies. I’m excited to share the knowledge I’ve gained with others, and I’m particularly eager to help students excel in the world of business and economics.

As a tutor, my goal is to provide holistic academic support. I strive to create a learning environment where students not only grasp the subject matter but also develop strong work habits and problem-solving skills. I believe in setting high standards, working diligently, and fostering a genuine connection with my students. Beyond helping students achieve their desired grades, I aim to build lasting relationships based on trust and mutual respect, ensuring that they feel comfortable and supported throughout their learning journey.

When I’m not tutoring or studying, you can find me indulging in my love for reading, diving into business topics, or practicing martial arts. I find that the discipline and focus in martial arts often translate into other areas of life, including my approach to studying and teaching. I’m excited to work with students who are eager to understand the intricacies of Business Studies and who want to not only do well in their exams but also gain a deeper appreciation for the subject.
