“My home language is Afrikaans and I received a distinction in Afrikaans Home Language as a subject in Matric. Since then I continued my studies in Theology (University of Pretoria) and Journalism (Stellenbosch University), as well as Religious Studies (University of Cape Town). My experience tutoring Afrikaans during the past 3 years includes assisting several high school students with Afrikaans First Additional Language, focusing on basic grammar and reading- and writing skills. I am currently studying a PGCE in the Senior/FET Phase, specializing in Afrikaans Home Language in the FET Phase.”
