Hi, I’m Tayra’O! I’m currently completing my Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences at the University of the Witwatersrand, and I’m excited to share my passion for education with others. In my matric year, I achieved three distinctions with standout results in Afrikaans, Math, Business Studies, and Life Science. These subjects shaped my academic journey and sparked my interest in tutoring, especially Math, which I truly enjoy teaching. Helping students unlock their potential in this area is incredibly rewarding for me.

As a tutor, I believe in guiding students rather than simply instructing them. I view my role like that of training wheels on a bicycle: I’m there to provide support and help them find their balance, but ultimately, they are the ones who drive their academic growth. My goal is to help students become more independent and confident in their learning, equipping them with the skills they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. Math, in particular, is a subject I’m passionate about, and I strive to make it not only understandable but also enjoyable for my students.

In my spare time, I love to read and write, which fuels my creativity and helps me connect with my students in different ways. I also enjoy cooking and baking, as they allow me to unwind and express myself. Above all, I’m passionate about helping others, whether it’s through tutoring or offering guidance in other aspects of life. With a blend of patience, passion, and dedication, I look forward to supporting you in reaching your full academic potential!
