Hi, I’m Taylon! I’m currently completing a Bachelor of Medicine at the University of the Witwatersrand. I’ve always had a passion for learning and helping others understand complex concepts, which is why I’ve been tutoring for the past 4 years. During my matric year, I achieved 3 distinctions, including 85% for English and Afrikaans, and 80% for Math, which really solidified my foundation in the subjects I now love to teach.

As a tutor, I focus on guiding students through their work in a way that encourages understanding rather than just rote memorization. My goal is not to be like a school teacher, but to support each student in truly grasping the material, which ultimately helps them perform better in their exams and assignments. I specialize in Math and enjoy breaking down complex problems into simpler, manageable steps, making it easier for students to gain confidence in their abilities.

In my spare time, I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors. Whether it’s hiking, biking, or just a walk in the park, I love staying active. I also enjoy trying new foods and exploring different restaurants with my family and friends. Additionally, I have a creative side and sometimes sew in my free time. I’m passionate about learning and sharing that passion with others, and I look forward to helping students succeed in Math!
