Hi, I’m Melize! I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Afrikaans and Linguistics as well as a Bachelor of Education. Afrikaans is my home language, and I am deeply passionate about it. In my matric year, I achieved two distinctions, including 81% in Afrikaans, which fueled my love for the subject and my desire to help others master it. My educational background and enthusiasm for language make me a dedicated and effective tutor.

As a tutor, my goal is to strengthen students’ understanding of concepts taught in school, help them revise for exams, and assist with assignments. I am also highly proficient in assisting with homework, ensuring that learners not only complete their tasks but also truly understand the work. I love working one-on-one with learners, as it allows me to focus on their individual needs and witness their progress firsthand. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a student grow in confidence, improve their marks, and develop a solid grasp of challenging concepts.

In my spare time, I enjoy channeling my creativity into writing children’s books and exploring my love for drawing and art. These hobbies inspire me to bring creativity into my teaching, making lessons engaging and enjoyable for my students. I believe in nurturing a positive and encouraging learning environment, helping students not only succeed academically but also build a genuine love for learning.
