Hi, I’m Marothi! I have completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering and the Built Environment. In my matric year, I achieved two distinctions, including 81% in Life Orientation and 88% in Mathematics, along with strong marks in English. I have been tutoring since 2013, and over the years, I have developed a passion for helping students build confidence and succeed academically.

As a tutor, I believe my role is to help students reach their full potential. I focus on encouraging learners to develop a solid understanding of mathematical concepts rather than relying on rote memorisation. I aim to enhance logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities, emphasising clarity of approach and organised thinking. I adapt my teaching strategies to suit different learning preferences and skill levels, helping students gain self-assurance and reduce anxiety around mathematics.

In addition, I ensure that tutoring sessions align with assessment standards, exams, and curriculum requirements. I enjoy making complex mathematical ideas more approachable by connecting them to practical applications and real-world examples. Ultimately, my goal is to create a supportive and structured learning environment where students feel confident, engaged, and motivated to achieve their best.
