Hi, I’m Chané! I’ve completed an MSc in Environmental Sciences, and I’ve always had a passion for understanding the world around us — from ecosystems to how people learn and grow. In my matric year, I achieved 5 distinctions, including 85% in both Maths and Life Science, 80% in English, and 86% in Geography, along with strong marks in Physical Science. These subjects laid a strong foundation for my academic journey and sparked a deep appreciation for critical thinking and problem-solving.

As a tutor, I aim to teach the fundamentals clearly and effectively by identifying any misconceptions or knowledge gaps. Once we’ve addressed those areas, I focus on building the student’s understanding step by step so they feel confident and equipped to tackle their exams. My approach is patient, structured, and encouraging — I want my students not just to pass, but to truly grasp the content and enjoy the process of learning.

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking on weekends to unwind and connect with nature. At home, I like to explore my creativity through painting, drawing, and mosaic work. I also love reading, a bit of computer gaming, and I’m deeply invested in Bible studies and church activities — especially being involved in kids ministry. These hobbies keep me balanced and bring a sense of joy and purpose that I carry into my teaching as well.
