Hi, I’m Amy! I’m currently pursuing a Master of Social Science with a specialisation in Philosophy at the University of Cape Town. In my matric year, I was proud to achieve four distinctions, which I believe laid a strong foundation for my passion for learning and teaching. Throughout my experience, I’ve enjoyed helping students develop their academic skills, and I absolutely love the experience of working closely with learners to support their educational journeys.

As a tutor, my focus is on providing academic support, encouragement, and guidance to my students. I aim to explain complex concepts in ways that make sense to the learner, breaking things down into manageable steps. I specialise in tutoring languages and math, and I’m particularly passionate about helping students who may be struggling with accuracy and my goal is to help students not only improve their skills but also gain confidence in their abilities to succeed academically.

In my spare time, I have a deep fascination with storytelling. I love reading literature, creating and observing art, and watching critically acclaimed movies and series, all of which help me explore different narratives and perspectives. I’m also an avid nature enthusiast—hiking and walking are my favorite ways to unwind and connect with the world around me. These passions shape how I approach tutoring, with an emphasis on understanding diverse stories and viewpoints.
