Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m currently completing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering at the University of the Witswatersrand. During my matric year, I achieved four distinctions, which sparked my passion for both academic excellence and helping others reach their full potential. My journey has been driven by a deep love for problem-solving and applying scientific principles to real-world scenarios.

Since 2022, I’ve had the privilege of tutoring university students, helping them navigate through challenging concepts. As a tutor, I focus on empowering learners to identify the areas they need help with and encourage them to ask the right questions to gain clarity. My approach is centered on building academic confidence while helping learners polish the skills necessary to achieve their goals. Specifically, I have experience with Engineering Graphics and Communication (EGC), and I aim to make complex technical concepts more approachable and understandable.

Beyond academics, I have a variety of interests that keep me grounded. I’m an avid reader, especially of classics like The Picture of Dorian Gray and The Great Gatsby, which help me unwind. When I’m not tutoring, I enjoy peaceful walks at the beach or diving into music, taking time for reflection and relaxation in my own space.
