Hi, I’m Abigail! I’m an enthusiastic and highly successful student currently completing my Bachelor of Medicine. My academic background is strong and diverse, allowing me to approach tutoring with a well-rounded perspective. In my matric year, I achieved seven distinctions, including exceptional results in Drama (98%) and Afrikaans (90%), alongside solid marks in core subjects: Life Science (88%), Maths (84%), and English (81%). My ongoing medical studies have honed my analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, which I bring into every session.

As a tutor, I believe my role is not simply to teach, but to be a strategic guide. My main goal is to help students dive deeply into certain struggle topics, break them down, and make them understandable. I aim to tackle these topics in a non-conventional way, moving beyond standard textbook explanations to provide clarity. By explaining concepts in multiple different ways, I ensure that I connect with each student’s unique learning style, helping them achieve a true conceptual understanding rather than just memorising for a test.

Outside of my studies, I am energised by a wide array of activities that keep me balanced and open-minded. I love socialising with people at events and have a huge passion for helping people of all demographics. I value spending time with my family and enjoy getting an adrenaline rush from various adrenaline-inducing activities, as well as camping and working out when I can. I also have a passion for communication, which I express through writing and saying speeches and acting. My willingness to meet and go up to new people and my love for reading all contribute to a dynamic and empathetic tutoring approach.
