Hi, I’m Thuthuka! I’m currently completing a BCom in Economics and Statistics, driven by my passion for problem-solving and analytical thinking. In my matric year, I achieved a distinction, which reinforced my belief in the power of dedication and consistent effort. I understand that academics can sometimes feel overwhelming, but I believe that with the right support, every student has the potential to excel.

As a tutor, my goal is to help learners feel comfortable with their subjects, ensuring they are not intimidated by difficult concepts. I take responsibility for creating a learning environment where students feel supported and confident in their abilities. My approach is to break down complex topics into simpler, more manageable parts, showing learners that they are more than capable of mastering their subjects with the right mindset and guidance.

In my spare time, I enjoy music—I play both the piano and bass guitar—as well as sports, particularly rugby. I currently play for the UCT U20B team, where I’ve learned the value of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. Just like in sports and music, learning requires practice and resilience, and I strive to instill these qualities in my students to help them achieve their academic goals.
