Hi I’m Marnie! I have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and I also hold a TEFL Certification, which has equipped me with specialised skills in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. My TEFL training has given me a strong foundation in lesson planning, classroom management, and adapting teaching methods to suit different learning styles — particularly important when working with younger learners. In my Matric year, I achieved two distinctions, including 80% in English and 80% in French, along with strong marks in Geography, Maths, and Chemistry. These achievements reflect both my dedication to learning and my well-rounded academic background.

I have been involved in Education since 2006, working with learners of different ages and abilities. As a tutor, I aim to teach, encourage, and mentor each student while guiding them to reach their full potential. I believe that every child learns differently, especially in the Foundation Phase, and it is important to understand the different levels of learning each individual has. I focus on creating a supportive, engaging, and structured environment where children feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow academically and personally.

In my spare time, I enjoy travel, reading, spending time with family and friends, and walking. These interests help me bring creativity, warmth, and real-world experiences into my lessons. I am passionate about helping young learners build strong foundations in their studies while developing a love for learning that will support them throughout their educational journey.
