Hi, I’m Mariam! I have completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (FET Phase), equipping me with the skills to guide students through their academic journey. My experience includes working with special needs learners, which has taught me patience, adaptability, and the importance of personalized learning approaches. I believe that education is not just about memorizing facts but about truly understanding and engaging with the material in a way that makes sense to each student.

As a tutor, my goal is not to be a teacher in the traditional sense, but rather to offer extra help and support where it’s needed. I focus on consolidating work, reinforcing key concepts, and making learning an enjoyable experience. Building a strong relationship with my students is important to me, as I believe a comfortable and encouraging environment helps them thrive. By incorporating fun and engaging methods, I aim to make lessons feel less like a chore and more like a rewarding journey of discovery.

In my spare time, I am deeply passionate about psychology, particularly neuropsychology, as I love learning about the brain. My favorite pastimes include watching YouTube, baking, and reading. I also enjoy going for runs, as I’m addicted to the exhilarating ‘runner’s high.’ Beyond academics, I am committed to continuously learning about my religion and finding ways to give back to my community. My passion for education and psychology stems from my desire to make a meaningful impact on others, and tutoring allows me to do just that.
