Joelle T

Hi, I’m Joelle! I’m currently completing a BA in Humanities, majoring in Psychology and English. In my matric year, I achieved three distinctions, including 81% in English and 91% in Afrikaans. These accomplishments have fueled my passion for both language and understanding human behavior, and I aim to share this enthusiasm with my students.

As a tutor, I aim to be an ‘older sibling’—someone that students can relate to and feel comfortable with. I believe in connecting with each individual and adapting my teaching to fit their unique learning styles. My goal is to make learning enjoyable and meaningful, while helping students overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

In my spare time, I enjoy the outdoors. I consider myself somewhat sporty and love running, hiking, and cycling. It’s a great way for me to stay social and fit into my schedule. I also enjoy editing and proofreading essays, as I consider myself an academic at heart. When I have time to relax, I enjoy reading, and I have a deep passion for music, especially playing the violin.
