Hi, I’m Irene. I have completed a PhD in Applied Mathematics, and I bring a strong academic foundation to my teaching. In my matric year, I achieved strong marks in Accounting, Mathematics, English and Physics, which helped shape my analytical thinking and clear, structured approach to learning.

I have more than 25 years of tutoring experience, and as a tutor I believe learning works best when it is supportive and collaborative. A tutor walks alongside the student, acting as a sounding board and providing guidance tailored to individual needs. I aim to support students holistically, helping them build confidence, understanding and independence in their learning.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, as well as walking, hiking and running. I am also a Volunteer Catechism Teacher for children, including those with disabilities, and I am involved in leadership coaching. These experiences enrich my teaching and allow me to connect with students thoughtfully, patiently and with genuine care.
